Chocolate Grand Marnier Sauce

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: About 1 cup


  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 5 teaspoons Grand Marnier
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped


  • Add the cream to a small pot and set it over high heat.  Add the Grand Marnier, sugar, and salt.  Whisk in the chocolate and bring to a boil, whisking constantly.  Remove from the heat and serve warm.  If you make this ahead, store covered in the refrigerator.  Warm gently in a double boiler before serving.
