Steamed Brussels Sprouts

  • Yield: 4


  • 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg


  • Heat water in a saucepan. Place brussels sprouts in a steamer basket and set over water. Steam brussels sprouts for 10 to 12 minutes or until fork-tender. Transfer to a bowl. Add salt, butter, and nutmeg and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
