Peanut Sauce


  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons chopped shallots
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter


  • In a small saucepan combine molasses, shallots, soy sauce, sugar, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, garlic and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Add peanut butter, stirring until smooth. Pour into a pretty bowl for serving.
