- 1 1/2 pints fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons lemon liqueur, such as limoni or lemoncello, or use Grand Marnier
- In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir gently but thoroughly to combine. Let stand 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves and flavors have mingled. Refrigerate until ready to serve. May be made up to 1 hour in advance.
