Charlotte, N.C., (June 13, 2014) – e2 emeril’s eatery is celebrating the season of fun in the sun with a new summer menu spotlighting light, bright flavors of the garden, the farm and the sea.
Chef de cuisine Brian Mottola has crafted new lunch and dinner menus that pay tribute to Emeril Lagasse’s Cajun roots and accentuate the lighter flavors of summer. Of course, a few favorites – like the gumbo of the day – will remain on the menu by popular demand.
From authentic Southern fare (fried green tomatoes with remoulade sauce) to locally famous (cheese from Orrman’s Cheese Shop) to the New Orleans-inspired (crawfish dishes and a barbecue sauce made with Community Coffee), the selections are a salve for summer’s sweltering temperatures.
e2 emeril’s eatery's cocktails are also made to beat the heat. Signature concoctions include the Cumbersome (with housemade pepper vodka, agave syrup, lime juice cucumber puree, cilantro and Triple Sec) and the French Quarter (with rye whiskey, brandy, pomegranate reduction, grapefruit juice, passion fruit puree and rhubarb bitters).
A delicious new addition to the lunch menu, the summer vegetable pasta is made with housemade semolina fettuccine and features brown beech mushrooms, English peas and cherry tomatoes in a chili corn broth ($12).
