Nuoc Cham

  • Yield: About 1 cup


  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup finely grated carrot
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 Thai bird chile, thinly sliced, or 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)


  • Combine all ingredients, plus 2 tablespoons water, in a bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside until ready to serve.
