Anise Liqueur


  • Two-thirds tablespoons star anise (broken and crushed)
  • One and one-half cup vodka
  • One-half cup sugar syrup (1 c. sugar boiled with 1/2 cup water - discard extra)


  • Steep the star anise in the vodka for 2 weeks. Filter and add the sugar syrup. Liqueur is ready to be consumed or bottled at this point. Place a whole anise star in a clear glass bottle before adding the liqueur.
