Homemade Tartar Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped cornichons or dill pickle
- 1 tablespoon nonpareil capers, drained and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped flatleaf parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon or pinch of dried tarragon, crumbled between your fingers
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt, to taste
Directions
In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients together. Refrigerate until ready to serve and up to several days in an airtight container.
