Shrimp Butter
Ingredients
- 1 (3-ounce package cream cheese), at room temperature
- One-fourth pound (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
- One-fourth cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon grated onion or 3 tablespoons minced green onion
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- One-fourth teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- One-fourth teaspoon salt
Directions
- One and one-half cups cooked shrimp (Canned shrimp may be substituted, but the shrimp should be thoroughly rinsed, drained, and chilled before preparation.)
- In the bowl of a food processor, blend together all of the ingredients except for the shrimp. Fold in the chopped shrimp by hand. Serve with crackers or crostini.
