Aunt Marsha's Potato Latkes
Ingredients
- 2 medium russet potatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons flour
- One-half teaspoon baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Grate the potato and onion together. Add the egg and other ingredients, mixing well. Fry heaping tablespoons of the mixture in a blend of schmaltz and Crisco. Serve with sour cream and/or applesauce.
