Delmonico Steakhouse Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Throwback Menu Specials and $115 Cocktail

Delmonico Steakhouse Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Throwback Menu Specials and $115 Cocktail

LAS VEGAS (May 2, 2014) -  Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse in The Venetian Las Vegas is celebrating 15 years of exceptional food, drinks and service by showcasing its most popular and acclaimed dishes throughout the years and two special cocktails. The second restaurant Lagasse opened in Las Vegas, Delmonico has remained true to the culinary tradition and old-school Vegas hospitality it started 15 years ago.

"Our guests are the ones who have made this milestone possible," said Mike Olsen, director of operations for Lagasse's Las Vegas restaurants. "We're proud to have served them for 15 years and look forward to continuing those relationships and seeing familiar faces come back in year after year."

Looking back over the years, Chef de Cuisine Rainwater adds, "We've stayed committed to Chef Emeril's high standards both in service and cuisine, offering the best prime quality aged beef and award-winning cocktail and wine lists. Guests have high expectations when they dine with us, and we always strive to give them the best experience possible."

To celebrate 15 years, beverage manager Max Solano created two cocktails available May 3-31, including the Delmonico Cup ($15), a uniquely designed libation made with Lagasse's first private bourbon barrel of Eagle Rare 10-year, Warres Otima 20-year tawny port, freshly squeezed lemon juice, organic vanilla syrup and fresh ginger.

The $115 NOLA Presidential cocktail is a kicked up, ultra-luxury cocktail made with one of the most sought-after bourbons in the world: Pappy van Winkle 15-year, plus Pyrat Cask No. 1623 rum, Grand Marnier Cuvee 1880, Maurin blanc vermouth, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, bourbon barrel-aged vanilla and Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas decanter bitters, garnished with a 24-karat edible gold leaf.

During dinner hours from May 3-9, Rainwater will prepare throwback specials from popular dishes throughout the past 15 years. Guests can choose from $15 appetizers and salads such as salt and pepper cured foie gras with brioche toast, citrus onion marmalade, balsamic syrup and baby arugula or "Delmonico's Steak Tartare" with dijon emulsion, buttered toast and traditional garnishes; crab and mirliton stuffed baked Louisiana oysters with bearnaise sauce.

Entree choices include "Delmonico Chicken" featuring black truffle stuffed chicken with roasted potatoes, natural gravy and spring vegetables ($36); double cut pork chop with caramelized sweet potatoes, green chile mole and tamarind glaze ($38); and paneed veal with fettuccine pasta, English peas, country ham and parmesan cream ($45).

No celebration is complete without dessert, such as bananas foster ice cream pie with fresh whipped cream, chocolate shavings and caramel sauce ($11); lemon ice box pie with strawberry coulis and whipped cream ($11); or the JK Grand Marnier chocolate souffle with Grand Marnier chocolate sauce ($12).

Additionally, people can share their memories and experiences from dining at Delmonico Steakhouse on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #Delmonico15.

The name "Delmonico Steakhouse" is a tribute to the 119-year-old Delmonico restaurant along the famed streetcar line on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. Lagasse purchased, renovated and reopened the landmark restaurant in 1998 as Emeril's Delmonico, honoring its century-old historic Creole tradition.

Delmonico Steakhouse is located at The Venetian Las Vegas and is open daily for lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner on Sunday through Thursday 5-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5-10:30 p.m. For reservations, please call 702.414.3737 or visit emerilsrestaurants.com/delmonico-steakhouse.
