Dashi Broth
Ingredients
- 1 quart water
- 3 pieces 3-inch square dried kombu (kelp)
- 1/2 cup dried bonito flakes
Directions
- Bring water and kombu just to a boil over medium heat. Immediately remove kombu, then add bonito flakes and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to steep 2 minutes. Strain into a clean container and use as desired.
