Calling all caramel and chocolate lovers out there! This one is for you. The Dulce de leche is not only inside the brownie-- it is swirled on top too. These can also be cut into bite-size pieces, stacked on a cake stand and added to a dessert buffet. Perfect for a party.
This is Creamy, Luscious, Delicious. We suggest you make caramel with two cans of the sweetened condensed milk. Use one in the gelato, use the other to dollop on top when you serve it (to really indulge). Folks that love caramel, this is to die for. If you are short on time, you can use the store bought Dulce de Leche that comes in a can.
Decadent and delicious and might just become your go-to dessert. The recipe may seem complicated, but think of it this way. You'll have four bowls for four components that you combine in the end. Melted chocolate, sugar and yolks, meringue, and finally whipped cream. Of course you'll want extra whipped cream for topping and plenty of shaved chocolate.
Total Time: 1 hour plus 2 hours and up to overnight for chilling
Yield: Enough mousse for one 9-inch 4-layer cake; serves 4 to 6 in dessert cups
