- One-half (2 sticks) pound butter, at room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups sifted cake flour
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Cream the butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Add the eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla. Beat well. Add the sifted flour. Bake in a greased and lightly floured Bundt pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Allow the cake to cool before removing it from the pan.
