- 2 cups crushed blackberries (about 1 quart whole berries)
- 3 cups brandy
- One and one-half cups honey or sugar syrup (1 c. sugar boiled with 1/2 cup water - discard extra)
- Combine the berries with 2 cups of the brandy and steep for 1 week. Strain through a jelly bag. Add the remaining brandy and sweetener and bottle. Age for as long as you can stand it---at least one month.
