The flavor of fresh cucumber makes its appearance in some serious spirits.

Hendrick’s Gin uses cucumber flavor in place of the traditional Juniper, making it appealing for those who’ve never been a big fan of gin’s powerful taste. This spirit is nice on the rocks or neat with a whisper of vermouth for a classically-styled martini. Garnish with lemon or a cucumber slice.

Polstar, an Icelandic, grain-based vodka makes a cucumber version that’s smooth and fresh tasting. Try it in a zippy riff on a Pimm’s Cup by using both a bit of Pimm’s and Polstar Cucumber Vodka shaken with sour mix and splashed with your favorite lemon-lime soda. Garnish with a cucumber stick.
