- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- Combine the sugar and water in a medium, heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil without stirring.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool.
- Pour the syrup into an airtight container and place in the refrigerator to cool completely (about 2 hours) before using.
- Use as needed.
